Photojournalists, Jason & Tammy Keefer, are a husband and wife with over 25 years of combined professional photography experience.
Jason got his start in 1992, when he began a ten-year tour as a US Navy Photographer. His experiences ranged from darkroom processing and printing, intelligence gathering, digital imaging, combat photography, and Syracuse University photojournalism program. In 2001, Jason moved onto a more personal journey documenting the most memorable and joyous day two people can have together, their wedding.
Tammy and Jason met in 2000 and got married in 2005. Over the years, Tammy assisted Jason at weddings and is now making award-winning photographs.
Together they share this great honor and privilege in recording these fleeting moments forever.

My husband, Brian and I met Jason this past Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Rotunda at UVA. I was the one that was drooling over his camera equipment. Jason, I want to thank you for taking the time to talk to us. I have found in my hobby, that a majority of the time, professional photographers do not have the time or the presence to talk to the “low man” on the totem pole. I appreciate you taking the time to talk to us, even though I was intimidated by your camera equipment.

Tammy and Jason,
I have to say working with you guys was almost the best part of my wedding weekend. (I suppose marrying Aaron was better, but it’s a close race).
Your work is so beautiful and observant and you guys are super easy to work with. I felt like you were family by the end. I almost wish I could get married again, just to hang out with you guys!

I have personally known Tammy and Jason Keefer for over 6 years (maybe even longer) but to me it feels like I have known them for my entire life.
They are such wonderful people and I know they will surpass your expectations. They are both extremely talented and they genuinely care about everyone they cross paths with. You will not be disappointed!
